Fat? I know your thinking I thought fat was our enemy.
Actually, quite the opposite good fat is the key to losing that tire around your mid-section!
There are three types of good fats
1. Monounsaturated fat which is liquid at room temperature and may start to solidify in the fridge.
2. Polyunsaturated fat which is liquid both at room and refrigerator temperatures
3. The mighty Omega-3 fatty acids
Today we are going to focus on the latest research on monounsaturated fat.
Research has shown that these fats are flexible and actually glide through the arteries whereas the yucky saturated fat don’t glide as much as they bounce and damage the arteries reducing the ability of the blood vessels to expand and impair blood flow up to 3 hours!
Think about that before you reach for that nice big greasy burger!
What are these amazing monounsaturated fatty acids?
You can find this incredible fat in your grocery store in the foods listed below:
1. Oils like olive, walnut, and flaxseed
2. Olives (my favourite!)
3. Nuts and seeds
4. Avocados
5. Dark chocolate
Now you know what they are and where to get them I bet you what to know how they help you lose your belly fat! Oh, and of course how much you should eat!
Stay tuned and I will let you know why you need to eat these good fats, when you should be eating them and how much!
A word of caution, these fats are good for you but they are also very high in calories so remember to watch your portions!
